Quintessential Training delivers training of the highest quality and of the most relevant format to suit the needs of users and the organisation of which they are part.

This training is classroom based at the customers own premises. Where preferred, an alternative training solution is our elearning.

training services

To support all our training we make available a range of quality training materials;

  • trainer guides – these are produced to support a classroom based trainer and will guide them through the key learning points of the delivery.
  • user guides – these in depth guides will assist a user to gain the most from their application.
  • quick reference guides – these single sheet guides contain a summary of some of the most useful functions for a particular application.
  • classroom materials – usually in MS PowerPoint are used to drive a training delivery through a logical presentation of the key learning points.

key projects

  • BMW
Quintessential Training delivered a whole range of bespoke training courses to approximately 1,500 personnel across 120 UK locations.

The project included the production of course material and classroom delivery for the following:
    • Systems Administration
    • Understanding Windows NT
    • Microsoft Outlook
    • SA3 - a bespoke sales tool
In addition, Quintessential Training provided on-site technical support to the dealer network addressing a range of problems from network connectivity to users not being able to print.

  • BT – NHS Care Records Service Project (NHSCRS)
One of the world’s largest IT projects, it will ultimately provide quick and easy access to clinical data for 50 million-plus patients of the NHS in England. The aim of the NHSCRS project is to provide clinicians access to patient details whenever and where ever the clinical information is needed.

Working on this project, Quintessential Training has provided a range of services including training delivery and elearning production as required. As you might imagine, all the systems on which we delivered training or produced elearning were bespoke systems.

The courses we delivered in a classroom included:
    • Registration Authority (RA) training – this is the process of registering users and issuing Smartcards for users to gain access to NHSCRS. BT is responsible for the security of the Spine and Smartcards are the main access control mechanism.
    • Secondary Uses Service (SUS) – this training provides information analysts and managers with the skills to use the new reporting and data analysis tools. The first application rolled out was Payment by Results, a new funding system for the NHS.
    • Training room set-up – this course is designed to facilitate the process of setting up training rooms in Trust premises to access BT’s training environment in order to run RA or SUS courses for end users.
    • Other Bespoke Training for specific needs. Where there are relatively small numbers of users of bespoke applications in a defined location, we develop and deliver classroom training to meet their needs.

The training will be cascaded to approximately 800,000 users and the materials have been designed to ensure that whether they are delivered to trainers who will train other trainers, or end users, the message is consistent and the quality of the training is appropriate for the largest civil integration project in the world.
